a scene of wedding venue
This is supposed to be your dream wedding, after all, so be sure you enjoy it to the fullest! We have some planning tips here.
How many times have you heard a woman say that she’s been dreaming of her wedding since she was a little girl? From the girls who make scrapbooks with cut-outs from magazines to the girls who played out weddings with Barbies or dress up, women have been dreaming of the perfect wedding for most of their lives. But when it’s time to plan it, the stress and anxiety levels go through the roof. Having a clear and concise plan in place can help alleviate most of that stress. But how can you plan your dream wedding?
Obviously, your first big decision is when you’re going to get married. By setting the date, you can map out exactly how much time you have to plan your dream wedding. It’s always best to get started as early as possible—even up to a year if you really want to make sure you can stay flexible. This also gives you more than enough time to reserve your caterer, wedding venue, photographer, videographer, and so on.
Secondly, you’ll want to choose your wedding colors. Every piece of decoration at your dream wedding has to be colored. Usually, you’ll choose two colors that you like but also make sure that they go together well. Consider the theme of your wedding that you want to have, what season you’re wedding is in, and where your venue is at.
Thirdly, have a clear vision in mind of what you want your dream wedding to be. Are you the kind of woman who dreams of a small-town wedding with only a few friends and family? Do you dream of a Hollywood-style wedding—the bigger the better? Or maybe you dream of an outdoor, beach wedding, or a Star Wars-themed one for you and your nerdy friends. Whatever your vision is, take time to get your thoughts in order. A great way to do this is to sit down and write it out or draw it out. Whatever helps you get your thoughts in order.
Fourth, you need to think about your wedding dress. It’s one of the most important parts of the dream wedding, after all. Find the wedding dress that you want, but also something that is comfortable and not going to add to your stress. Along with this, come up with a plan for your hair, makeup, and other beauty items you’ll need or want for your big day. This is where your maid of honor and bridesmaids will help you—they’re there to help you with these kinds of decisions and to help you find out what looks good on you as well as what makes you the most comfortable.
Next, think about whether you want any photos or videos taken. Do you have any friends or family who can do it for you for free or cheap? Or do you want to go full-on professional? This goes along with thinking about any entertainment you want to have at your wedding, as well as music, and planning your reception.
Consider your budget as you go through your plan, so you know how much money you can spend on each aspect of your wedding.
Lastly, don’t forget to have fun! This is supposed to be your dream wedding, after all, so be sure you enjoy it to the fullest! Most of the fun of a wedding is in the planning!
